Princeton Properties’ President Emeritus, Terry Flahive, was presented with the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Awards at the CHPA 2018 Annual Conference in Las Vegas.
Terry, who joined Princeton Properties in 1987, was recognized for his industry leadership and achievements at the Corporate Housing Providers Association, CHPA, annual conference during the Tower of Excellence Awards. Terry was recognized for his accomplishments and contributions to the corporate housing industry.

He perpetually strives to do the right thing, instead of just doing things right. His unparalleled business ethics and personal morals are the qualities he leads with every day, the qualities that have secured his spot as one of the best in our industry.

Princeton donates to Project Bethlehem

This year, Princeton Properties employees and residents were able to bring joy to three local families through the Lazarus House Project Bethlehem.
Project Bethlehem obtains the names of families most in need from Lawrence public schools and select local agencies, and matches them with donors during the holiday season. The three families Princeton sponsored ranged in size from 5 people to 8 people – for a combined total of 7 adults and 12 children. Armed with their Holiday ‘wish lists’ the Princeton elves went to work! Employees and residents generously donated gift after gift, going above and beyond the ‘wish list’ – aiming to give these families an unforgettable Christmas.
After organizing and wrapping all the gifts, we loaded up two full cars and Princeton’s President Emeritus, Terry Flahive and Elan Sablich delivered the gifts to Lazarus House – where they were warmly received by the friendly staff. Hopefully Princeton is able to make the holidays brighter for a few families this season. Participating in such a noble cause certainly made our holidays brighter.

How Princeton celebrates Thanksgiving
This time of the year things start to get a little crazy. Did you remember to get the stuffing? Are there enough place settings for everyone? What’s the best route to beat the holiday traffic? Which Black Friday deals do you want? The list seems endless. But despite the hectic schedule, most of us have our own traditions that we look forward to year after year. We asked a few Princeton employees to share some of their Thanksgiving traditions.
We always invite someone that is not part of the family, a close friend or even just an acquaintance that does not have family close by. We get to know them and welcome them to our home. The tradition started with my Nana and we have met so many amazing people because of it. Plus sweet potatoes with marshmallows. No matter where we go, no matter who we are with it is a must have.
This will be the 10th year I run the Feaster Five in Andover on Thanksgiving morning. (And the 5th time i’ll run it in a spandex santa suit)
We have been raising our own turkeys for almost 20 years. We always cook the biggest one on Thanksgiving for our family/friends. The biggest one we ever cooked was 46 pounds! That was an interesting year!
We go Black Friday shopping. We jump in line – usually close to 11pm and then wait until 1am when the store opens. Then we pretty much shop all night, have breakfast at a local diner and then go home to bed, usually sometime after 8am. After doing this for so many years, it is now not so much about the actual “shopping” but the experience itself. Last year, the guy in front of us was teaching us how to “Salsa” while we were in line!
We will be in Louisiana where Thanksgiving dinner includes cornbread dressing in a casserole dish and almost no one puts stuffing in the turkey. Then the argument is whether cornbread dressing should include sage. My sister in law says yes (Texas people!) though my grandmother would have never, ever added it.
I will be cooking for the extended family. Turkey, plus all the traditional New England trimmings. I really enjoy cooking, baking and entertaining…but the real tradition is taking the family picture and espresso martini’s. Hopefully not all at once. I’m sure the pilgrims didn’t have Espresso Vodka, but it’s a staple when my family comes to visit!

The Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce has nominated Princeton’s own Lisa Alarcon as a Young Professional of the Year.
Lisa Alarcon, a Corporate Leasing Consultant at Princeton Properties, is often the first face for many new residents to Nashua, with many being new to the United States. She is outstanding in her role, and helps residents learn not just about Nashua, but about the simple differences that come with living in America – helping them adjust to a new life and learn everything from where to shop to how to use the electronics in their new home at Princeton Properties.
Lisa has been with Princeton Properties since 2014.

The Public Matters Program is a leadership initiative of The Lowell Plan. The mission of Public Matters is to foster and enhance the knowledge and skills of leaders in Lowell, MA.
Princeton Properties is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Bettencourt to the 2017 Public Matters Program. Lisa Bettencourt is a 15 year veteran of Princeton Properties, currently positioned as the Assistant Property Manager at River Place Towers in downtown Lowell. Lisa is responsible for the 448 apartments at this community, she is also a recertification specialist who works to qualify new residents for occupancy and requalify existing residents for continued occupancy.
Lisa is a Certified Credit Compliance Specialist and a Housing Credit Certified Professional. Ms. Bettencourt, a Lowell resident, is a graduate of UMass Lowell with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She’s fluent in Portuguese and is proficient in Spanish.
