Chairman James Herscot founded Princeton Properties in 1973. He has built the company into a multifaceted real estate company specializing in apartments and furnished suites. His vision has allowed the executives to aggressively pursue new acquisitions, major rehabilitations and new construction. As a result of Jim’s accomplishments and integrity, some of the leading financial institutions in the country have selected Princeton as their joint venture partner and have committed significant debt financing to finance Princeton’s rehabilitations, acquisition, and construction activities. These include General Electric Capital Corporation, Citicorp and Bank America. Currently there are 38 communities located in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts and totaling 7,000 apartment homes. Princeton has won national recognition every year since 1995. These national awards include Best Multifamily Rehab, Best Asset Turnaround, Property Manager of The Year, Best Rehab and finalist for Property Management Firm of The Year, Most Creative Financing and Best Affordable Brochure. Jim is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and Harvard University.
